My distributor Darren Censullo (Avatar Acoustics) just over a week ago demonstrated the Axis Voicebox S at the Stereophile Axpona Audio Show. Both Stereophile and The Absolute Sound magazines play an important role in establishing the bona fides of audio products. The extremely positive comment in the Stereophile commentary re the speakers at the show is good news.

Las Vegas CES

Below is a very positive comment on the AxisVoicebox S from reviewer Edgar Kramer (Six Moons Audio) when he listened to the speakers at the 2010 Las Vegas CES.

“On the basis of several listening sessions at CES 2010 I would have to say the Axis Voicebox S is a very promising new contender indeed. Here was a small standmount speaker with a ribbon and 5.25-inch mid/bass driver that filled an acoustically difficult room with beautifully-detailed, delicate yet powerful sound and which was capable of a truth of timbre that will challenge much more expensive designs. One of the standmount highlights of the Show.”

Rocky Mountain Audiofest

Under the auspices of my US distributor Avatar Acoustics, I attended Rocky Mountain Audiofest in Denver in early October to demonstrate the Axis Voice Box S.

I was very fortunate to not only have industry pundit Neil Gader attend my demo but publish some very positive comments about the Axis Voice Box on his blog.

In just a few years, RMAF has become a very big deal in the audio industry. The Denver Marriott Tech Center had turned over seven floors and 150 rooms to exhibitors, including Avatar. Here’s some pics of things from our end (click on any photo to enlarge).

2009 CES, Las Vegas

I recently attended 2009 CES (it stands for Consumer Electronics Show, but everyone knows it as just CES) in Las Vegas (see photos below).

While there, I demonstrated the new Axis Voice Box ‘Ribbon’ Loudspeaker range and was successful in securing U.S. distribution (Avatar Acoustics).

The Studio versions of the Axis speakers are being used by Australia’s leading mastering engineer Don Bartley at Benchmark Mastering. Don has also recently decided to market the Studio versions under his Benchmark Mastering company name.

An audiophile wireless loudspeaker I designed for Avega Systems was also demonstrated at the show and won some high praise – more on that in the near future.
